it depends. he does always carry a bit of your smell, but his is like. it changes. like he gathers up other people's smells, in a way.

and i can tell when you have switched recently because at first, neither of you smell like anything, and then it starts coming up. it's quite. unsettling, in a way.

yeah, i guess that's how i'd put it. when we were traveling, the people we met who had magic were all pretty dangerous, because we were specifically looking for the powerful ones to see if they could help us. no one ever had a clue though. anyway, i guess my point is that he didn't have any experience until now with situations where it was safe for him to just relax a little, you know? i don't think he can stay on high alert all the time when he's out.
